Clinical Billing Specialist

Job Overview:
">- Assist the Relief for Autism/Emergence Coalition team in meeting responsibilities in a timely and accurate fashion.
- Ensure carriers receive all relevant appeals with no additional information needed.
Night Shift Schedule:
">- Monday to Thursday: 8:45am - 5:00pm New York Time (9:45pm - 5:00am Manila Time)
- Friday: 8:45am - 3:45pm New York Time (9:45pm - 3:45am Manila Time)
Responsibilities:
">- Review appeals for medical necessity
- Fax appeals to the appropriate party
- Set reminders to follow up a week after the appeal is sent
- Follow up again closer to the TAT for the determination; update the team accordingly
- Confirm in-network provider ability to service a new member
- Attend weekly team meetings, completing the to-do's assigned to reimbursement team members
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
">- At least 2 years of college education
- At least 2 years experience in a medical practice dealing with billing including provider credentialing, authorizations, reimbursement, etc.
- Must have backup power supply (extra laptop/power bank/generator/UPS/reside near a coworking space)
