This is a specialized role where you will be responsible for designing solar electric systems that meet customer needs and comply with relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to ensure solar designs are tailored to customer preferences, company policies, and local codes.
- Create 3D models of homes and their surroundings using aerial imagery and web-based software to generate custom proposals showcasing customers' expected panel layouts and solar production.
In this position, you will work closely with the Proposal Design team to provide design support for the sales team to successfully acquire new customers.
Main Responsibilities:- Design and create solar electric systems meeting high standards of quality and efficiency.
- Familiarity with solar production modeling software (Aurora, etc.) is essential.
- Work with residential electrical and roofing standards, ensuring compliance with National Electrical Code and local building codes.
- Possess NABCEP (associate) certification, which demonstrates your expertise in solar energy systems.
- Experience with Salesforce CRM software and AutoCad software is highly valued.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, experience in designing or constructing solar electric systems, and proficiency in solar production modeling software.
