Lead Tax Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled professional with expertise in tax preparation, collaboration, and staff supervision. This role is responsible for preparing and filing accurate tax returns, supporting internal accounting functions, and liaising between teams and outsourced staff.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Preparing and filing federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Collaborating closely with internal accounting staff to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
- Reviewing financial reports, fixed assets schedules, and supporting documents for compliance and completeness.
- Communicating with clients via professional messages.
- Supervising and managing outsourced staff, assigning tasks and reviewing deliverables.
- Conducting ongoing tax research to stay current with regulations.
- Assisting with quarterly estimated tax calculations and annual tax planning.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- 3-4 years of bookkeeping experience with strong general ledger knowledge.
- 2-4 years of tax return preparation experience (Forms 1040, 1120, 1120S, 990).
- Proficiency in UltraTax and Fixed Assets CS.
- Experience using Soroban or Stanford Tax platforms.
