Cloud Leadership Opportunity

This is a chance for a skilled technologist to build a career with Ubuntu and drive success with those leveraging open source products.

The Cloud Engineering Manager will be responsible for overseeing the engineers who manage day-to-day customer environments, including service management and product improvement engineering. Collaboration with customers, product teams, and operations is critical to success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team to optimize development and operations quality and velocity
  • Identify and measure team health indicators
  • Implement disciplined processes in engineering and operations
  • Represent the team with respect to stakeholders, customers, and external teams
  • Ensure team focus on priorities, milestones, and deliverables
  • Meet service level agreements with customer deployments worldwide

Requirements:

  • Bachelors education in a technology field
  • Proven track record of professional experience in software delivery and/or managing operations teams
  • Experience with OpenStack
  • Strong commitment to testing methodologies and maintainable code quality
  • Linux system administration experience, Ubuntu/Debian a plus
  • Strong communication and cooperation skills
  • Agile software development methodology experience
  • Distributed team management experience
  • Technical understanding of complex systems
