Senior Accountant Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy and hold a Professional License (Passed Board License Exam).

The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation and review of personal income tax returns for individuals, including employees, business schedules, and rental properties.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation and review of personal income tax returns for individuals, including employees, business schedules, and rental properties.
  • Declaration of income from all sources, including dividends, distributions, and franking credits.
  • Input of allowable deductions, such as business expenses and capital losses.
  • Preparation of business schedules and reconciliation of all income and expenses.
  • Preparation of rental schedules, including depreciation schedules, if applicable.
  • Preparation of motor vehicle schedules, if applicable.
  • Calculation of capital gains on disposal of assets, if applicable.
  • Review and preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and instalment activity statements and business activity statements for companies, trusts, partnerships, and superannuation funds.
  • Analysis of ledger data and reconciliation of all bank, loan, goods and services tax related items, asset register/depreciation schedules, etc.
  • Preparation of monthly management reports for review.
  • Regular data entry and bookkeeping of client records.
  • Preparation and compilation of all documents and workpapers required.
Requirements:
  • Necessary Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy;
  • Professional License (Passed Board License Exam) is required.
  • Desirable Skills:
  • At least 3 years of working experience in the related field;
  • Experience in modern cloud accounting software such as Xero, Xero Practice Manager, Sage HandiTax and HandiLedger;
  • Experienced in providing accounting services to a portfolio of clients;
  • Experience in multi-client service environment.
  • Personal Qualities:
  • Strong English – both written and verbal communication skills to correspond with Australian Clients;
  • Dynamic personality that can adapt to fast-paced growth environments;
  • Enthusiasm for continuous learning in Accounting, Technology, and Business processes;
  • Team-oriented individual.
