AI Quality Assurance Manager

About the Role: The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data quality management, data operations, and related AI/ML or data annotation roles. They will be responsible for architecting and upholding high-quality annotation workflows to ensure that AI models are built and evaluated on reliable data without compromising speed or efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance

  • Develop and refine robust QA processes and statistical quality metrics (e.g., F1 score, inter-annotator agreement) to protect annotation integrity.
  • Establish quality metrics that align with business objectives and industry standards.
  • Continuously review annotation workflows to identify risks and opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce errors.

Analysis and Reporting

  • Lead in-depth data analysis to diagnose quality issues, assess strategy effectiveness, and uncover root causes of recurring errors.
  • Develop dashboards for real-time quality metrics and project performance.
  • Prepare and deliver strategic quality reports to senior management and stakeholders, outlining quality trends, risks, and improvement plans.

Operational Leadership

  • Manage configuration and integration of annotation and quality control tools to ensure optimal performance.
  • Identify and implement innovative quality control tools and automation technologies to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years in data quality management, data operations, or related AI/ML or data annotation roles.
  • Proven experience designing and executing QA strategies for large-scale, multi-modal data annotation projects.
  • Leadership experience managing remote or distributed teams.
  • Strong data-analysis skills and ability to translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills with experience presenting data and quality insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with annotation and QA tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in agile or fast-paced tech environments with AI/ML pipelines.
  • Experience in managed services or vendor-driven settings.
