As a Fire Alarm System Professional, you will oversee daily operations of the Service Department, ensuring seamless communication with customers and coordinating technicians. Key Responsibilities:- Answer and manage incoming service calls efficiently.
- Respond to off-hours answering service inquiries promptly.
- Schedule service appointments and dispatch technicians effectively.
- Communicate with customers via email and phone, addressing concerns and service needs professionally.
- Provide timely notifications and updates to customers.
- Assess fire alarm system issues remotely and determine appropriate action.
- Decide whether to dispatch a technician or offer troubleshooting guidance.
- Maintain service records and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Experience: A minimum of one year of hands-on experience with fire alarm systems is required.
- Technical Knowledge: Ability to diagnose fire alarm issues over the phone and recommend the best course of action.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written skills for effective customer interactions are essential.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage schedules, prioritize tasks, and coordinate with technicians efficiently is necessary.
- Problem-Solving: Quick decision-making skills to determine service requirements are required.
- Software Proficiency: Experience using scheduling and service management software is an asset.
- Certifications in fire alarm systems or related fields are highly valued.
- Previous experience managing a service department or team is an advantage.
