Job Description

As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for administering and maintaining our organization's network infrastructure. This position involves ensuring network stability, performance, and security, as well as supporting network-related projects and operations.

The ideal candidate will be highly technical in networking and security technology, with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and optimization.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, configure, and manage network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless solutions.
  • Implement and maintain network policies, standards, and configurations to ensure security, performance, and compliance.
  • Conduct regular network performance monitoring and tuning.
  • Diagnose and resolve network-related issues, including connectivity, latency, and hardware problems.
  • Manage network incidents and respond promptly to escalated issues to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on major network outages and implement corrective actions.
  • Plan and execute network upgrades, expansions, and optimization projects.
  • Collaborate with 3rd party support and engineers to stay current with the latest firmware updates and technology advancements.
  • Perform capacity planning and monitor network traffic to identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, procedures, and issue resolutions.
  • Generate regular reports on network performance, incidents, and maintenance activities for internal stakeholders.
  • Keep up-to-date inventory records of all network equipment.
  • Implement network security measures to protect data integrity, confidentiality, and availability.
  • Monitor network security alerts and respond to potential threats or vulnerabilities.
  • Perform regular security audits and ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
  • Work closely with IT teams and other departments to support business objectives.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to junior network administrators and IT staff.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a Network Administrator, with at least 2 years managing Huawei/Cisco network equipment.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Proficiency in Huawei/Fortinet network and security hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) and software solutions. Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VLANs, VPNs).
  • Tools and Software: Experience with network monitoring and analysis tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark). Strong problem-solving, analytical, and multitasking abilities; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
