Job Summary

The Functional Architect plays a pivotal role in the sales and delivery lifecycle, acting as a trusted advisor during pursuit and functional lead during deployment.

This individual provides end-to-end strategic leadership for Workday solutions, ensuring they are scalable, fit-for-purpose, and aligned with client objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with pursuit and sales teams to provide expert solution guidance and contribute to RFPs/RFIs.
  • Develop effort and budgetary estimations aligning with customer asks.
  • Ensure continuity of design intent and solution integrity during transition from sales to delivery.
  • Provide quality assurance oversight and thought leadership on in-flight implementations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams to ensure cohesive and aligned solution delivery.
  • Lead end-to-end functional solution design across the full project lifecycle.
  • Drive and facilitate key client sessions to ensure robust solution design and client alignment.
  • Maintain project momentum and resolve issues escalations.
  • Promote continuous improvement of implementation methodologies and tools.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of actual implementation experience.
  • Strong Workday implementation experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate across teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
