This is a pivotal role for an accomplished Site Reliability Engineer to spearhead the health, performance, and scalability of our production environment. As a seasoned expert in software engineering principles, you will apply your skills to resolve operational challenges, automate processes, and ensure our platform exceeds customer reliability expectations.

In this capacity, you will collaborate with a talented team of engineers across different time zones to create a comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting system that provides real-time insights into system behavior. Your proactive approach to system stability will be instrumental in defining and monitoring Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs) to maintain and improve platform health.

Key Responsibilities

  2. Design, Build, and Maintain Infrastructure: Apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles to design, build, and maintain our core infrastructure using Terraform or CloudFormation.">
  3. Enhance Reliability & Scalability: Proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks, single points of failure, and scalability limits.">
  4. Implement Comprehensive Monitoring: Design and implement a comprehensive monitoring system to provide real-time insights into system behavior.">
  5. Lead Incident Management: Participate in our on-call rotation and lead incident response and resolution efforts.">
  6. Collaborate & Empower: Collaborate with software engineering teams to foster a culture of reliability and provide guidance on building resilient services.">
  7. Secure the Foundation: Implement and maintain security best practices across our cloud infrastructure.">

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on experience with a major cloud provider, preferably AWS, and deep proficiency with tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. Additionally, you should have excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a remote-first environment.
