Job Summary

You will be responsible for designing and implementing data integration solutions from internal and external sources into a centralized data warehouse, ensuring accurate data delivery to systems. You will be required to build new data integrations (ETL components) and make changes to existing software, leveraging your knowledge of data modeling and SQL.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understand business and data requirements, defining solution approach, designing and implementing ETL components.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of various business process and system modelling tools including: Data Flow Diagrams, Process Models, ER diagrams, Dimensional Data Models, and Use Case Scenarios
  • Develop complex SQL queries and stored procedures to extract and insert data into and from the Datawarehouse.
  • Engage with Business Analyst & Technical Architects to clarify business requirements and offer recommendations for improvements.
  • Contribute to defining a scalable data warehouse architecture.
  • Coordinate production, development and sandbox environments.
  • Coordinate releases with DevOps team and prepare the required documentation related to release.
  • Participate in peer code reviews.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to junior team members on technologies and processes.
  • Provide support and recommendations for testing and UAT for work being delivered.
  • Provide out-of-hours support as requested for incidents.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 2+ years of IT experience required in working with ETL in an enterprise environment.
  • Knowledge in ETL Design methodologies including best practices, performance tuning, architecture, monitoring and alerting.
  • Knowledge of at least one ETL tool (SSIS, Informatica, Matillion, Talend, etc.).
  • Experience with relational and dimensional data modelling and ability to represent data using standard modelling techniques.
  • Proficient with SQL and stored procedures.
  • Experience in working with at least one of these warehouse technologies such as SQL, Snowflake, AWS Redshift.
  • Ability to deliver work to schedule (self-manage workload and priorities).
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Passionate about complex data structures and problem solving.
  • Ability to pick up new data tools and concepts quickly.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
