Software Development Team Lead

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers in developing high-quality software products. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to foster a collaborative engineering culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a remote team of engineers in your time zone, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to deliver their projects successfully.
• Develop talent through coaching, mentoring, feedback, and hands-on career development, helping team members grow professionally and personally.
• Set and manage expectations with other engineering teams, management, and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and effective communication.
• Collaborate with leaders in the organization to drive strategic initiatives and contribute to the company's overall success.
• Build clean web service APIs to support both CLI and web frontend clients, using Python (and optionally Golang) to develop scalable and efficient software solutions.

Requirements:

• Good experience in leading modern, agile software development practices, with a focus on collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Experience in forming a healthy, collaborative engineering culture that aligns with the company's values and goals.
• Demonstrative experience of being a role model for sound engineering principles and directly contributing toward your team's goals.
• Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events, collaborating with colleagues and partners to drive business results.
• Lovely to mentor, develop and grow people, with a track record of doing it successfully.
• Knowledgeable and passionate about software development, with expertise in Python (and optionally Golang) and Linux system administration.
• Focused on success and the timely delivery of high-quality software, with a commitment to excellence in all aspects of work.
