Join us as a Senior Linux Software Engineer for a challenging role that involves designing and implementing the best Ubuntu integration for the latest IoT and server-class hardware platforms and software stacks. As a part of our team, you will work with partners to deliver a delightful, optimised, first class Ubuntu experience on their platforms.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Senior Linux Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for:
  • Designing and implementing the best Ubuntu integration for the latest IoT and server-class hardware platforms and software stacks.
  • Working with partners to deliver a delightful, optimised, first class Ubuntu experience on their platforms.
  • Taking a holistic approach to the Ubuntu experience on partner platforms with inputs on technical plans, testing strategy, quality metrics.
  • Participating as technical lead on complex customer engagements involving complete system architectures from cloud to edge.
  • Helping our customers integrate their apps, SDKs, build device OS images, optimize applications with Ubuntu Core, Desktop and Server.

Required Skills and QualificationsTo succeed in this role, you will need:A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, STEM or similar.Experience with Linux packaging (Debian, RPM, Yocto).Experience working with open source communities and licenses.Experience working with C, C++.The ability to work in a globally distributed team through self-discipline and self-motivation.
