Job Opportunity: Audit Specialist


The Internal Auditor plays a vital role in evaluating the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes within the organization. Conducting audits across departments ensures that policies are followed, assets are safeguarded, and operations run efficiently. The Internal Auditor helps identify areas of improvement and supports the organization's efforts to maintain integrity and accountability.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develops an audit work program including objectives, risks, and test procedures aligned with business objectives, processes, policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Provides input in the team's plan, strategy, and execution of audit projects
  • Assists in preparing annual budget and audit plans

Audit Execution:
  • Conducts process and system walkthroughs to understand the process, risks, and controls during an audit engagement
  • Performs risk assessments by identifying and evaluating control design of the audit project being covered
  • Executes and documents test procedures using industry best practices and benchmarks

Aligns/coordinates the following details with process owners, department heads or line managers throughout the audit engagement:
> the audit objectives and processes, scope, timeline, and deliverables
> discussion of initial audit observations based on documented testing and analysis
> recommends corrective actions for proper closure on issues and mitigation of identified risks


Documentation and Reporting:
  • Organizes workpapers and documentation after each audit phase for submission to the Audit Supervisor for review
  • Updates Management Action Plans database/tracker and performs follow-through of pending MAPs
  • Completes audit to-dos and follow-up notes by Audit Supervisor, Manager, and/or Audit Head

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Internal Auditing, or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years' work experience in internal or external audit
  • Knowledgeable in NetSuite, SAP, or other related accounting systems/ERP solutions
