Senior Risk Management Role

This role involves providing a risk management lens to engage with campaigns in various phases of design and delivery. The successful candidate will provide guidance and feedback related to campaign materials/direction to internal teams and partners, particularly focusing on compliance and safety risks.

The Senior Associate will assist with determining the appropriate path for escalation of high risk activity, in collaboration with the Risk Manager and Executive teams. This will involve working with teams to undertake risk identification, assessment and monitoring for projects during planning and implementation, as well as addressing risk issues and developing response plans.

Key responsibilities include reviewing current policies and procedures to identify process gaps and opportunities for improvement, operationalising and supporting internal governance processes that relate to managing campaign risks, and assisting with country risk profiles when determining feasibility of campaigns.

Additionally, the successful candidate will promote a culture of risk awareness and accountability through training, education, and risk management consultative support. They will work with network teams, including risk champions, with different levels of risk maturity to ensure risk is monitored and managed appropriately.

Requirements
  • Experience in campaigns and risk management, ideally in an international organisation or an organisation with a global footprint; non-profit and/or communications experience is considered a plus.
  • Strong cross-cultural experience and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels and effectively communicate and manage interpersonal relationships within the network and Risk team.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English, with additional languages an asset.
  • A genuine interest in and passion for addressing climate change.
  • The disposition to work generously with colleagues in a high-trust global community of peers.
