Job DescriptionAs a Solar Design Specialist, you will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed solar designs that meet customer preferences, company policies, and local, state, and national codes.• Collaborate with the sales and install operations teams to ensure that solar designs are aligned with customer needs and company objectives.• Utilize aerial imagery and web-based software to create 3D models of homes and their surroundings, which are used to generate custom proposals that show customers the expected panel layout and solar production of their system.• Work closely with the proposal design team to ensure that all solar designs meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo succeed in this role, you will need:• A high school diploma or equivalent.• Experience with designing and/or constructing solar electric systems is preferred.• Working knowledge of residential electrical and roofing standards is a plus.• Knowledge of National Electrical Code and local building codes is a plus.• NABCEP (associate) certification is a plus.• Experience with Salesforce CRM software is a plus.• Experience with AutoCAD software is a plus.
