Job Title: Business Intelligence Developer

This is a pivotal role for an individual who can design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions to support organizational success. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Looker and related technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Modeling: Develop and maintain LookML models, explores, and dashboards to support business intelligence needs.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize LookML code to ensure performance, scalability, and efficient data processing.
  • Data Transformation: Implement complex data transformations, calculations, and aggregations using LookML.
  • Data Consistency: Ensure data consistency, accuracy, and integrity across all Looker assets.
  • Visualization: Create custom visualizations and effectively utilize Looker's built-in visualization tools.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders to design intuitive interfaces that facilitate data exploration and analysis.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously enhance dashboard usability and performance through user feedback and data-driven improvements.
Hiring Criteria:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Looker, including LookML development, dashboard creation, and data visualization.
Required Skills:
  • LookML: Proficiency in LookML for building and maintaining models, explores, and dashboards.
  • Data Visualization: Strong understanding of data visualization principles and experience in creating user-friendly, interactive dashboards.
  • Database Management: Familiarity with relational databases such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and MySQL.
  • BI Architecture: Solid understanding of BI data architecture, data warehousing concepts, and data modeling (e.g., star schemas, snowflake schemas, and 1-3NF data models).
  • Performance Tuning: Experience in performance tuning and optimizing Looker assets.
  • CLOUD Computing: Basic knowledge of Google Cloud Platform or other cloud environments is a plus.
  • BI Tools: Exposure to other BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms is advantageous.
