Software Test Engineering Specialist

As a Software Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and consistency of our software products. You will collaborate closely with the QA team to analyze requirements, derive relevant test scenarios, and execute comprehensive test cases.

This is an external contractor position, and the engagement is structured around specific project requirements. There may be opportunities for continued work through other projects or an extension, depending on organizational priorities.

• Analyze provided requirements and specifications to ensure alignment with project goals.
• Develop a robust test plan and strategy to guarantee thorough testing.
• Plan, estimate, and prioritize testing activities to meet project deadlines.
• Create comprehensive test scenarios, test cases, and test data to simulate real-world scenarios.
• Conduct UI, sanity, functional, regression, component, and end-to-end testing to ensure seamless user experience.
• Identify, record, and document defects accurately and correctly to facilitate prompt resolution.
• Collaborate with the engineering and product teams to discuss and resolve reported defects.
• Provide accurate status reports on all testing activities to stakeholders.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in software testing.
• Proficiency in using Azure DevOps for managing test plans, executing tests, and generating test reports.
• Proven experience in testing web and mobile applications, as well as kiosk-based systems.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Hands-on experience in requirements analysis, test planning, test case detailing, and defect tracking.
• Strong experience in defect reporting, tracking, and management.
• Ability to learn custom development frameworks and new technologies quickly.
• Able to work effectively under minimum supervision with continuous change requirements and short deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.

• Using their own device and maintaining a reliable high-speed internet connection (minimum of 25 Mbps).
• Working within a dedicated schedule from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (Manila Time).
• Being available for scheduled and ad-hoc calls, meetings, and chats during weekday working hours.
• Having access to a quiet, professional workspace suitable for video meetings and calls.
• Using dual monitors (preferred but not required, if available).
• Being available to start immediately.
• Acknowledging that all work and outputs will be covered by a standard Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement, as well as an Intellectual Property Assignment Agreement, to protect both company and client information.

Note: This is a hybrid work-from-home opportunity. Regular in-person meetings may be scheduled for key projects and deliverables.
