We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role's responsibilities include general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and other ad hoc tasks as requested.

The successful candidate will be a key member of the finance team, mentored and supported by the Finance Manager and Director of Finance to develop within a rapidly growing and changing business environment.

Our ideal candidate will have a degree-level qualification in Accounting or Commerce, with a minimum 2-4 years' experience in an accounting role, preferably certified by AASB/IFRS standards.

The Financial Accountant will be responsible for handling timely and accurate posting of accounting journal entries concerning the month-end, ensuring that all supporting documentation is available for key positions.

Additional duties include:

  • Accurate and timely completion of assigned monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assisting with the external audit process together with the Finance Manager
  • Performing key internal and external reporting matters as required
  • Reconciling KPOS to the accounting ledger for assigned areas

The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, a keen desire to learn and understand underlying concepts, and proven ability to identify improvement opportunities and implement innovative solutions.

A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and knowledge of SAP or similar accounting software is essential.

The successful candidate will also demonstrate exceptional teamwork and communication skills, supporting the development of a high-performance culture, including active participation in group-wide projects as required.
