Job Overview

We are seeking an Linux Support Professional to join our team and contribute to delivering exceptional technical support to customers.

  • This role involves providing expert-level technical assistance via various channels, including telephone, email, and web support.
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Working from a remote home office to provide timely and effective technical support to employees.
  • Taking ownership of new cases via multiple communication channels and ensuring prompt resolution.
  • Serving as an internal customer advocate, keeping stakeholders updated on case progress.
  • Ensuring all support cases meet our Service Level Agreement (SLA) standards, with a focus on high customer satisfaction.
  • Contributing knowledge base articles and maintaining existing content to facilitate shared learning.
  • Drafting and distributing technical notices for both internal and external communication.
  • Prioritizing tasks to achieve the most critical objectives first.
  • Staying up-to-date with product developments and evolving service offerings.
  • Maintaining regular communication and collaboration with the rest of the team.
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance our service delivery.
  • Participating in a weekend working rotation.
Requirements

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • An exceptional academic record, including high school and university achievements.
  • A degree in a technical field or an alternative path that showcases your technical expertise. Preferred majors include Computer Science, MIS, Electrical Engineering, etc.
  • The ability to confidently communicate ideas, exchange feedback, and share perspectives without hesitation.
  • A track record of exceeding expectations to deliver outstanding results.
  • Experience in Linux troubleshooting, including log collection, stack tracing, and configuration file editing.
  • Familiarity with 2 or more of the following areas: Linux server administration, programming fundamentals, networking, virtualization/cloud computing concepts.
  • The ability to learn quickly, adapt to change, and thrive under pressure in a customer-facing environment.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • An appreciation for diversity and effectiveness in a multicultural, multinational organization.
  • A result-driven approach with a personal commitment to meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events lasting up to two weeks.
