You'll work closely with Subject Matter Experts to gather information and use your expertise to craft engaging and user-friendly content. Your goal will be to create materials that are easy to understand and follow, even for those who are new to a particular process or task.
To succeed in this role, you'll need to be able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. You'll also need strong organizational and project management skills to ensure that projects are completed on time and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities- Create high-quality procedural material, including P&P, job aids, decision trees, and other types of documentation.
- Work with Subject Matter Experts to gather information and develop content.
- Use expertise on wordsmith, formatting, process flow, and information-mapping to create engaging and user-friendly content.
- Collaborate with internal business customers to ensure content aligns with business objectives.
- Participate in projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Assist with interviewing subject matter experts to become familiar with applications and production methods.
- Assist with validating deliverables for accuracy, readability, and usability.
- Manage review, approval, and execution processes to ensure achievement of writing objectives.
- Understand audience(s) to be addressed in the writing process.
- Monitor feedback on procedural material and address questions or concerns as appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with applicable timelines and quality standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 1+ year Business or Technical Writing experience
- 3+ years' working knowledge in each of the following: Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word
- Experience in knowledge management/using a knowledge-based tool
- Excellent verbal and written communications, time management, and organizational skills
- Strong people skills with the ability to work with different levels of the organization
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills
- Demonstrate flexibility to work and support a 'constant change' environment
- Developing proficiency level in Lean and process mapping
- Willing to work in a hybrid work arrangement
