Quality Assurance Tester

Role Overview:

As a Quality Assurance Tester, you will be responsible for validating that digital banking builds meet business and customer expectations.

You will test features across mobile and web applications, ensuring functionality, usability, and reliability.

Responsibilities include:

  • Validate Requirements: Reviewing requirements and design documents to create comprehensive test cases
  • Test Digital Banking Builds: Performing functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing on digital banking builds/releases
  • Collaborate with Teams: Collaborating closely with developers, product owners, and UX designers to ensure quality standards are upheld
  • Defect Reporting: Raising detailed and reproducible defect reports; verifying bug fixes
  • Manual Testing: Maintaining and executing manual test cases
  • Automation: Contributing to building and executing basic automated test scripts
  • Agile Ceremonies: Participating in Agile ceremonies: standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
  • UAT Support: Supporting UAT activities and documentation for regulatory/compliance needs

Qualifications include:

  • QA Experience: 2+ years of experience in QA testing (digital banking or fintech environment experience is a plus)
  • SDLC Understanding: Good understanding of SDLC and STLC in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Testing Methodologies: Strong knowledge of functional and regression testing methodologies
  • Jira Tool: Experience with using Jira or similar tools
  • API Testing: Experience testing APIs using tools like Postman, and usage automation tools like BrowserStack is a bonus
  • Banking Knowledge: Understanding of banking products and digital user journeys is an advantage
  • Analytical Skills: Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Communication: Good communication skills to articulate issues and work with cross-functional teams
  • Collaborative Mindset: Proactive and eager to learn, especially digital banking trends
  • Independence: Team player with a collaborative mindset and ability to work independently and manage multiple testing tasks
