Senior Accountant Job Opportunity

Our client's global finance team is seeking a skilled Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist to play a key role in ensuring timely and accurate billing, collections, and AR reporting.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about bringing order, transparency, and strategic value to the AR process in a high-growth environment.

  • Prepare and distribute accurate customer invoices based on sales orders, including volume-based billing metrics

  • Generate and issue credit notes in accordance with company policies

  • Record and reconcile incoming customer payments on a timely basis

  • Review customer agreements and ensure billing schedules align with contract terms

  • Support revenue recognition reviews and ensure compliance with accounting standards

  • Regularly analyze AR aging reports to proactively address collection risks

  • Collaborate with Account Management teams to resolve client billing or payment issues

  • Prepare reports related to AR, collections, and invoicing for both finance and senior leadership

  • Assist in designing and maintaining internal processes related to billing, cash collection, and bad debt tracking

  • Provide support for month-end close, general ledger reconciliations, and ad hoc accounting projects

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement efficient accounts receivable strategies to drive revenue growth and minimize losses

  • Manage multi-currency, multi-entity, and consolidated financial reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance

  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory requirements to maintain expertise and contribute to process improvements

  • Cultivate strong relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration

  • Analyze data and identify trends to inform business decisions and optimize operations

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a SaaS, fintech, or tech company

  • Advanced experience in Netsuite and MS Excel

  • Strong knowledge of revenue recognition and billing best practices

  • Familiarity with internal controls frameworks (e.g., COSO) and financial compliance standards

  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work across teams and geographies

  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems and comfort with fast-moving environments
