Cloud Operations Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Operations Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience designing, delivering, and supporting features in a highly concurrent and distributed system that drives cloud automation and software operations at scale.

This role involves collaborating proactively with a distributed team, debugging issues, interacting with upstream communities publicly, working with helpful and talented engineers, discussing ideas, and finding good solutions. Additionally, you will coach and develop team members with less experience, actively contributing to building and maintaining a first-class engineering team.

The successful candidate will be experienced in professional software delivery using Go and will have hands-on experience developing highly concurrent distributed systems. Excellent communication skills in the English language, both verbal and written, especially in online environments, are essential for this role.

You will also have an exceptional academic track record from high school and university and experience with agile software development methodologies. We welcome candidates who are willing to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, deliver, and support features in a highly concurrent and distributed system.
  • Collaborate with a distributed team to drive process improvement.
  • Debug issues and interact with upstream communities publicly.
  • Work with talented engineers to discuss ideas and find good solutions.
  • Coach and develop team members with less experience.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Professional software delivery experience using Go.
  • Hands-on experience developing highly concurrent distributed systems.
