Cloud Infrastructure Specialist Role

The Cloud Infrastructure Specialist is responsible for designing and implementing scalable cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform.

This involves ensuring secure, compliant, and resilient infrastructure by leveraging best practices in Infrastructure as Code, DevOps automation, and robust authentication and access controls.

The successful candidate will have experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and automation, GitLab for source control and CI/CD automation, and a deep understanding of Java-based applications and enterprise-scale system deployment models.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deploy scalable cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
  • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines with GitLab to automate infrastructure deployment, testing, and monitoring.
  • Deploy and manage VPN servers to provide secure remote access for cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Implement and manage authentication and access controls.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure performance issues.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  2. Minimum of five to ten years of experience in technology environments with enterprise scale infrastructure support.
  3. Deep understanding of Java-based applications and enterprise-scale system deployment models.
  4. Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services.
  5. Expertise in Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and automation.
  6. Skilled in GitLab for source control and CI/CD automation.
  7. Well-versed in authentication and access control.
  8. Strong knowledge of IAM policies and compliance frameworks.
  9. Excellent troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to performance and reliability improvements.
