Fire Sprinkler Systems Designer/Estimator

This role involves designing and estimating fire protection systems for various commercial and residential projects, primarily in New York City.

You will work closely with clients and internal teams to develop system layouts, prepare designs using AutoCAD, Revit, and MEP software, and estimate project costs using Planswift and Excel.

Designs must meet New York City Building Codes and applicable standards (NFPA, etc.).

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop system layouts from architectural and mechanical plans.
  • Prepare fire sprinkler system designs using specialized software.
  • Estimate project costs and prepare take-offs.
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients remotely.
  • Use Fire Elite or equivalent software for hydraulic calculations and system optimization.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Planswift, Excel, and Fire Elite.
  • Knowledge of MEP design tools.
  • Familiarity with New York City Building Codes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong time management skills.
  • At least 2 years of experience in fire sprinkler design and estimation.
