Senior UI/UX Designer for Health Tech Startup

We're seeking an experienced and hands-on Senior UI/UX Designer to lead the end-to-end design of a consumer-facing aged care mobile app and a platform for healthcare professionals and systems.

This is a mid-senior level full-time opportunity that requires a strong background in health tech, with a focus on designing user-friendly, scalable solutions for older adults. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for creating accessible, high-contrast, readable, and intuitive interfaces that meet the unique needs of the aged care market.

You will work closely with engineering, product, and clinical teams to deliver design solutions that exceed expectations. Your portfolio should showcase clean, custom work with a strong focus on accessibility and usability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design a consumer-facing aged care mobile app and a platform for health systems and healthcare professionals
  • Use Figma as your primary design tool
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver user-centered solutions
  • Conduct design research and user analysis to understand diverse user groups, especially older adults
  • Create design systems and clear workflows for easy feedback and approvals
Requirements:
  1. 5+ years of UI/UX design experience, preferably in health or medical tech products
  2. 2+ years of startup experience with independent work management
  3. Experience designing for older adults with a focus on accessibility and usability
  4. Proficiency in Figma with a collaborative approach
  5. Strong design research skills and ability to uncover user needs without constant direction
