Senior Platform Reliability Engineer

The role involves building, handling, and supporting Data and Analytics platforms.

A key responsibility is developing and maintaining cloud automation workflows to automate platform maintenance, updates, security enhancements, and administrative tasks.

Delivering business cloud solutions by implementing cloud resources (provisioning, hardening, etc.) is also a crucial aspect of the job.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and build cloud automation workflows and support the cloud blueprint.
  • Support hands-on cloud platform provisioning and configuration management coding, development, and deployment.
  • Continuously improve monitoring and logging for the cloud area and enable end-to-end monitoring and dashboard reporting.
  • Create and maintain operational/user documentation for engineering products/solutions.
  • Build automation and scripting for the runbook to support 24x7 operations and monitoring teams.

Other responsibilities include conducting new cloud platform testing, runbook updates, and packaging as cloud service offerings to business users.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in leading a large implementation of related technologies.
  • Hands-on expertise in Azure Cloud IaaS and PaaS & IT Service Management (Incident, Change, Request).
  • Expertise with DevOps tools and IaC programming such as Terraform, Python, PowerShell for infrastructure automation and management.
  • Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines and repository management (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
  • Knowledge of infrastructure services provisioning, security concepts, and standard methodologies on IaaS and PaaS models to support data and analytics solutions.
  • Understanding of networking infrastructure and network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, firewalls, LAN/WAN, DHCP, Load balancing, Replication, SSH).

It is also preferred to have ITIL & Azure Certifications, experience in Agile, Microsoft Certifications (MCTS, MCITP, MCSA, MCSE), passion for adopting and testing the cloud and new IT technology, collaborative attitude and willingness to share knowledge with team members, strong understanding of project scheduling and task-driven project work, and strong communication and technical skills.
