Software Engineering Leader

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineering Manager to lead our regional software engineering team. This role will involve technical leadership, people management, and collaboration with other teams.

This is a full-time position that requires strong engineering skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to motivate and inspire a team of Python developers.

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading a team of engineers working on pure Python software development focused on enabling true DevOps workflows.
  • Hiring, coaching, mentoring, feedback, and hands-on career development.
  • Demonstrating sound engineering principles by directly contributing code yourself.
  • Planning and managing progress on agreed goals and projects.
  • Setting and managing expectations with other engineering and operations teams.
  • Coordinating with management and internal and external stakeholders or customers.
  • Advocating for modern, agile software development practices.
  • Helping develop and evangelize great engineering and organizational practices.
  • Growing a healthy, collaborative engineering culture in line with company values.
  • Being an active part of the leadership team and collaborating with other leaders in the organization.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A proven track record of leading and growing teams of engineers.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud computing concepts and technologies.
  • Experience with software automation and Linux server administration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for agile software development and continuous improvement.
