Job Title: Business Insights Analyst

Data Science Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Insights Analyst to join our team and deliver actionable insights that drive business growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in machine learning, statistics, and data manipulation, with advanced proficiency in Python, R, and SQL.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of predictive models and advanced analytics to uncover user behaviors and content trends
  • Build and maintain scalable data pipelines, reporting tools, and dashboards
  • Collaborate across editorial, marketing, and commercial teams to deliver data-driven strategies
  • Champion A/B testing and experimentation frameworks to optimize content performance
  • Contribute to the architecture and integrity of our data warehouse
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis and deliver actionable insights to non-technical stakeholders
Requirements:
  • 5+ years in business analysis, with a strong foundation in machine learning, statistics, and data manipulation
  • 2+ years in a leadership or team lead role
  • Advanced proficiency in Python, R, and SQL
  • Skilled with Tableau, Power BI, or Looker Studio
  • Familiarity with ETL pipelines and data warehousing concepts
  • Experience with Jupyter Notebooks, Git, and Agile workflows
  • Excellent communication skills—you can explain complex insights to anyone
  • Degree in Statistics, Data Science, Applied Math, or a related field
  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP) including: BigQuery, Google Cloud Storage, Vertex AI, Google Colab, Looker Studio, Analytics 360, GA4, Google Tag Manager, Google Ad Manager
  • Apache Airflow
  • Databricks
  • Data modeling and database design, including partitioning strategies for large tables
  • GCP security, monitoring, and maintenance
