Accounts Receivable Coordinator Job Description

The Accounts Receivable Coordinator is a critical role in our organization, responsible for managing the entire accounts receivable process from start to finish. This involves overseeing client invoicing, payment tracking, and ensuring compliance with financial and contractual obligations.

This position requires strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and a solid understanding of logistics operations.

  • We are looking for an experienced professional who can generate and issue accurate invoices for logistics services, ensuring alignment with client contracts and shipping documentation.
  • The ideal candidate will be able to monitor and manage accounts receivable, including tracking payments and maintaining up-to-date records.
  • Responsibilities also include reconciling payments and accounts to resolve discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
  • Effective communication with clients regarding outstanding invoices and payment inquiries is essential.
  • Collaboration with the logistics and operations teams is required to verify service delivery and billing accuracy.
  • The coordinator will be responsible for preparing and generating reports on accounts receivable status, including aging reports and cash flow forecasts.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements is crucial.
  • The successful candidate will also assist in the development and improvement of accounts receivable processes and workflows.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in accounts receivable, billing, or financial administration, preferably in the logistics industry.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in PortPro is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes and financial best practices.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
