Our team is seeking a seasoned Data Engineering expert to join our APAC region.

Job Description

This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, build, and deploy scalable data solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in data architecture and engineering, with a strong focus on working with Australian clients and the broader APAC region.

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  1. Designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric and Azure services.
  2. Collaborating with architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver robust data solutions.
  3. Participating in solution design and technical discussions to ensure scalable and secure data workflows.
  4. Implementing performance-optimized and secure data workflows, ensuring compliance with governance and quality standards.
  5. Creating and maintaining clear, accurate, and up-to-date technical documentation for data assets, pipelines, and processes.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • At least 6 years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, and analytics projects.
  • Strong knowledge of modern data file formats, including Delta Tables, Apache Iceberg, and Parquet.
  • Proficiency in Python, Spark, Azure Data Factory, and other relevant data transformation tools and frameworks.
  • Expertise in data modeling across conceptual, logical, and physical layers, with knowledge of Dimensional Modeling and Data Vault 2.0 methodologies.
