Job Description

Nasdaq is seeking a highly skilled Application Management Junior Engineer to join their team in Manila.

This role will involve delivering and supporting high-performance, low-latency trading systems for financial institutions worldwide. You will be responsible for ensuring the stability, resiliency, scalability, and performance of platforms that power the global economy.

You will collaborate closely with market operations, client success, and various technology teams to resolve raised issues, contribute to root cause analysis, and drive process improvements that increase reliability and enhance client experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux Operating Systems.
  • At least 2–5 years of experience in application management, technical support, or a similar environment, preferably within global organizations in banking, exchanges, or technology sectors.
  • Familiarity with IT infrastructure and cloud platforms, including basic networking, virtualization, and cloud deployment models (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with Git and GitLab, including repository management, branching strategies, merge workflows, conflict resolution, and fixing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Java Virtual Machine (JVM) configuration and diagnostics, including setting and optimizing memory parameters, analyzing thread dumps and trapped exceptions.
  • Direct, hands-on experience with Kubernetes infrastructure.
  • Proficiency with automation, scripting (Bash, Python, Ruby, SQL), and configuration management/infrastructure as code tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or Terraform.
  • Proven skills in Agile methodologies, and familiarity with service management platforms such as JIRA, Confluence, and BMC Remedy.
