WE'RE HIRING – APPLICATION ENGINEERING HEAD

Job Purpose
Lead a dynamic Application Engineering team that supports our sales force by ensuring technical accuracy, preparing detailed proposals, validating sales orders, and delivering top-notch pre-sales support. Drive operational excellence, mentor engineers, and play a pivotal role in aligning engineering solutions with business goals.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and manage the Application Engineering team to deliver exceptional technical support and operational efficiency.

  • Supervise daily activities, set clear goals, and evaluate team performance to promote professional growth.

  • Review customer specifications, perform equipment sizing and selection to prepare accurate technical proposals.

  • Approve final proposals and sales order documentation to ensure compliance and minimize errors.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Vendors, and external suppliers for technical data, pricing, and lead times.

  • Drive continuous process improvement by developing standardized tools, templates, and workflows.

  • Act as the technical escalation point for complex application issues and critical proposals.

  • Support pre-sales efforts with advanced presentations, briefings, and client site visits.

  • Oversee sales order validation to ensure correctness before release to operations or procurement.

  • Mentor and train team members, identifying skill gaps and fostering a culture of technical excellence and accountability.

  • Monitor workload, productivity, and proposal timelines to ensure timely response and client satisfaction.

  • Contribute to product development feedback, market analysis, and innovation initiatives aligned with company growth.

What We're Looking For

  • Licensed Mechanical or Electrical Engineer

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in applications engineering, technical support, or project engineering roles

  • Proven leadership experience managing or mentoring technical teams

  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office

  • Strong expertise in equipment sizing, proposal preparation, and technical presentations

  • Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills

  • Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and able to thrive under pressure and deadlines

  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
