Credentialing Specialist

Job Description:

The Credentialing Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring that clinicians are properly credentialed and compliant, allowing uninterrupted service delivery and reimbursement.

This role requires strong organizational and time management skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in credentialing processes and insurance requirements, particularly for ABA providers.

The Credentialing Specialist will be responsible for managing the credentialing and re-credentialing processes for clinicians and facilities, including submitting applications to commercial and Medicaid payers.

Key responsibilities include tracking credentialing statuses, following up on delays, and maintaining regular communication with insurance companies.

The successful candidate will possess a strong background in ABA therapy services and be well-versed in payer enrollment requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of credentialing processes and insurance requirements (Medicaid, private payers, CAQH, etc.)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with BACB and state licensing requirements for ABA professionals
  • Proficiency with EMR systems like CentralReach, Rethink, or Catalyst
