As a Principal Info Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our organization's digital assets and protecting sensitive information from cyber threats. This is an exceptional opportunity to leverage your expertise in firewall security and cloud security to drive strategic initiatives that enhance the resilience of our systems.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Palo Alto Firewall experience, with a minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing firewall rules and policies. Additionally, they should have a proven track record of ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

A successful candidate will be able to analyze complex security issues, identify areas for improvement, and develop innovative solutions to mitigate risks. They will also be expected to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including directors, managers, and other technical personnel, to ensure seamless execution of security strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and remediate firewall rules/policies to ensure adherence to enterprise standards and compliance requirements
  • Making critical decisions on enterprise security policies to protect against emerging threats
  • Utilize security monitoring tools to support audits and improve overall system security
  • Develop and implement comprehensive compliance strategies to mitigate risks and ensure regulatory adherence
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize security initiatives that align with business objectives
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of Palo Alto Firewall experience
  • 5+ years of Cloud Security experience
  • 5+ years of Security Architect experience
  • Proven communication skills for effective team and customer engagement
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a high-performing team
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Splunk experience
  • AlgoSec experience
  • Proven leadership skills with ability to mentor and coach junior staff members
Other Requirements:
  • Ability to work 40+ hours per week
  • Required shift will be 8-5 CST
  • Must meet RTO requirements
