Job Opportunity: Security Analyst

We are a leading cybersecurity and managed security services provider focused on threat detection and response.

The successful candidate will be a member of our Security Operations Center (SOC) platform support team for Enterprise Customer Care, our managed security services practice. This role involves interacting extensively with customers and partners using polite professional etiquette.

  • You will use strong TCP/IP networking skills to perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems.
  • You will configure, manage, and upgrade Firewall (FW), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Internal Vulnerability Scanners (IVS), and Intrusion Protection Systems (IPS) platforms.
  • You will analyze and respond to security events from FWs, IDS, IPS, AV and other security data sources.
  • You will interface with various clients in a polite, positive, and professional manner.
  • You will take responsibility for client satisfaction and overall success of managed services.
  • You will respond in a timely manner to support tickets.
  • You will be available, ready, and able to promptly handle incoming support calls.
  • You will document actions in tickets to effectively communicate information internally and to clients.
  • You will respond to needs and questions of clients concerning their access to network resources through their managed device.
  • You will adhere to policies, procedures, and security practices.
  • You will resolve problems independently and follow documented escalation procedures.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have intermediate skills/knowledge in some of the following:

  • Network security concepts & Information security best practices
  • TCP/IP networking
  • Cisco network security products
  • Fortinet security products
  • Palo Alto security products
  • Juniper / NetScreen security products

You should also have excellent analytical thinking and problem solving skills, strong English communication skills (oral and written), and be self-managed and team-oriented.
