Delivery Excellence Manager

We are seeking a skilled Delivery Excellence Manager to lead our software delivery process, ensuring seamless integration, rapid deployment, and unwavering quality.

About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional to oversee the entire release lifecycle, from planning and development to deployment and post-release support. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for orchestrating the delivery and release of software with precision and agility, leveraging best practices, tools, and technologies to ensure smooth execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Release Planning: Define and implement release schedules, ensuring deadlines and business needs are met.
  • Release Pipeline Management: Coordinate activities of development, QA, operations, and support teams, ensuring each release is thoroughly certified and delivered on time.
  • Strategic Oversight: Oversee the full release lifecycle, identifying risks, and developing mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions to the business.
Collaboration and Communication
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the main point of contact for all stakeholders involved in the release process, including senior leadership, product owners, engineering teams, and customer support.
  • Status Updates: Communicate progress, blockers, and risks to stakeholders at all levels, ensuring everyone is informed and aligned.
  • Performance Metrics: Analyze the effectiveness of each release, identifying opportunities for process improvement, automation, and risk reduction.
Continuous Improvement
  • Process Refinement: Drive the adoption of industry best practices in release management, ensuring releases are more efficient and predictable over time.
  • KPI Tracking: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to release cycles, such as release frequency, deployment success rates, and post-release defect rates.
Technical Expertise
  • Tools and Technologies: Manage and optimize release management toolkit (e.g., Jira, GitLab, Launch Darkly, etc.) to support an efficient release pipeline.
  • Automation Opportunities: Identify opportunities for automation in the release process, reducing manual intervention and increasing speed and reliability.
