Quality Assurance Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance professional to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong theoretical understanding of software testing principles and be able to apply critical thinking skills to ensure high-quality releases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop well-reasoned test strategies that consider product risks and customer needs
  • Apply a risk-based approach to testing and prioritize logically and consistently

Manual & Exploratory Testing

  • Test case management and execution
  • Analyse requirements, business risks, edge cases, and feature decomposition

Technical Testing & Tools Proficiency

  • Web debugging tools, proxy tools, mock data, error handling, and testing
  • Database analysis, query analysis, API testing, logs analysis, server issue debugging

Self-Sufficiency & Decision-Making

  • Independent problem-solving skills and asking the right questions
  • Analysis beyond pattern-matching and making decisions based on business and technical contexts
  • Identify gaps and propose solutions

Process Improvement & Collaboration

  • Effective test case management and process improvement
  • Closely work with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality releases

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in software testing, preferably in a fast-paced environment
  • Theoretical knowledge of QA methodologies, test types, and test design techniques
  • Ability to self-organize, think critically, and prioritize testing efforts based on risk and user impact
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, issue trackers, and test case management tools

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Test automation and scripting for API/UI testing
  • Familiarity with performance testing tools
  • Exposure to cloud environments and distributed systems testing
  • Simulators/emulators experience is a plus
