Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled QA Engineer with expertise in fiber optics, network equipment, and telecommunications standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of network components such as Centralized Equipment Nodes (CEN), Optical Line Terminals (OLT), and rectifiers. This role also involves testing and analyzing fiber optic cables to ensure quality and performance standards are met. The QA Engineer will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of network infrastructure, performing diagnostics, and ensuring compliance with industry best practices.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure proper setup of fiber optic infrastructure and related network components.
  • Assist in equipment and network configuration according to industry standards.
  • Conduct testing of fiber optic cables, network equipment, and telecommunications systems.
  • Troubleshoot fiber optic networks and associated equipment (CEN, OLT, Rectifiers) to identify and resolve issues.
  • Perform diagnostic tests to verify network performance and ensure that system components operate as expected.
  • Use specialized testing tools like OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer) and power meters to assess cable quality.
  • Ensure the proper installation and termination of fiber optic cabling, ensuring compliance with industry specifications and standards.
  • Implement and enforce QA processes and methodologies throughout the equipment installation lifecycle.
  • Ensure adherence to telco standards, best practices, and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct system audits and reviews to identify potential improvements in quality and performance.
  • Report on testing results, analysis, and non-conformities to management and stakeholders.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years working in QA engineering, focusing on fiber optics and network equipment.
  • Expertise in network equipment installation, including CEN, OLT, and rectifiers.
  • In-depth knowledge of fiber optic testing methods, tools, and technologies (e.g., OTDR, fiber optic power meters).
  • Strong understanding of telecommunications industry standards
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and diagnosing network-related issues.
