Medical Transcription Specialist Job

MedSpecialized, Inc. is a leading provider of remote healthcare staffing solutions and we are seeking a highly skilled Medical Transcription Specialist to join our team.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Transcribe live patient calls and take dictations from clients specializing in dermatology medical transcription services.
  • Convert audio files and download them to Express Scribe for efficient transcription.
  • Transcribe all files received during the day within 24 hours, ensuring high accuracy and meeting client expectations.
  • Proofread all transcriptions prior to entering data in visit notes to guarantee error-free documentation.
  • Enter data in EMR Visit Notes once proofreading is completed, maintaining accurate records.
  • Notify clients after completing data entry in IMS Visit Notes, ensuring seamless communication.
  • Complete all dictations for the day from clients, adhering to deadlines and quality standards.
  • Perform additional tasks as requested by clients, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Complete notes during encounters incorporating essential elements as dictated by providers, providing comprehensive documentation.
  • Complete prescriptions dictated by providers and send them electronically, streamlining the prescription process.
Requirements:
  • Must be a Medical Allied Graduate with a strong foundation in medical terminology and transcription practices.
  • At least one year experience in dermatology transcription, demonstrating expertise and proficiency.
  • Excellent attention to detail, ensuring high accuracy in transcription.
  • Typing speed of 55 WPM with 95% accuracy in transcription, meeting industry standards.
  • Strong listening, comprehension, and research skills, enabling effective transcription.
  • Good English grammar and pronunciation both oral and written, communicating effectively with clients.
  • Knowledgeable in medical terminologies, accurately documenting medical information.
  • Ability to focus and concentrate with minimal distractions, maintaining productivity and efficiency.
