Overview

Seeking a skilled and innovative e-commerce platform developer to drive online sales growth for a prominent cookware brand. In this key role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the company's e-commerce website to deliver an exceptional user experience.

Job Type: Full-time / Remote

Responsibilities
  • Website Development: Develop and maintain the company's e-commerce website, ensuring seamless integration with backend systems and robust performance under high traffic conditions.
  • Front-end and Back-end Development: Work on both front-end and back-end development tasks, including coding, debugging, and implementing new features to enhance the overall shopping experience.
  • Content Management: Manage and update website content using a content management system (CMS), ensuring all information is current and accurate.
  • E-commerce Integration: Integrate e-commerce functionalities such as shopping carts, payment gateways, and third-party plugins to optimize online sales conversion rates.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize website performance, including speed, responsiveness, and overall site efficiency to provide a seamless user experience.
  • SEO and Analytics: Implement SEO best practices and track website performance using analytics tools to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, design, and content teams to ensure website alignment with branding and marketing strategies.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure a seamless user experience.
  • Security: Implement and maintain security protocols to protect customer data and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Requirements

Must-Have:

  • At least 2 years of experience in e-commerce website development, preferably in a retail or direct-to-consumer (DTC) environment.
  • Experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce) and CMS (e.g., WordPress).
  • Strong understanding of SEO principles and web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Knowledge of UX/UI design principles is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Love of food and cooking - cooking skills and/or experience in the culinary industry are a plus.
