Carton Packaging Estimator Job Description

We are seeking an experienced estimator to join our team in the production of folding carton packaging projects.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Precise Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for various carton packaging projects, taking into account historical data and supplier pricing.
  • Project Analysis: Analyze packaging specifications, customer drawings, and production capabilities to determine project scope and manufacturing requirements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with sales, production, and design teams to identify job scope and manufacturing requirements.
  • Database Management: Maintain and update pricing databases and Excel-based estimate sheets to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Customer Support: Provide technical and cost-related input to support customer inquiries.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor job costing performance to refine future estimations and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Estimating Experience: Proven experience in estimating folding carton packaging projects is essential.
  • Printing Knowledge: Working knowledge of printing processes, including offset printing and color matching.
  • Excel Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain high-quality work.
  • Analytical Abilities: Strong mathematical and analytical abilities to accurately estimate costs and project outcomes.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with teams.
