Jhpiego, through the CLAMS Project, partners with the Department of Health, local health officials, private sector, and civil society organizations to advance country commitments to the WHO's global strategy to eliminate cervical cancer as a public health burden.
The project increases access to optimal cervical cancer screening and early detection technology through capacity building activities, demand generation, and awareness initiatives, supporting the scale-up of services through the national cervical cancer control and management program.
Key achievements include screening 4,969 women using HPV DNA testing, building clinical capacities of 40 health providers, training 247 community health educators, engaging civil society organizations across marginalized sectors, and introducing HPV DNA testing through self-collection and treatment of pre-cancer lesions in 5 project sites.
To support demand generation, sensitization activities, and delivery of CECAP information and education services at CLAMS Phase 2 Project sites, the reproduction of CECAP print IEC materials is sought. This involves translating cervical cancer prevention (CECAP) Information, Education, & Communication materials from Tagalog to Cebuano.
