Accounts Payable Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to manage daily accounting tasks with a focus on accounts payable.

The ideal candidate will have experience in accrual-based accounting and possess strong business judgment and acumen. You will work closely with the accounting team to prepare financial statements, assist with documentation for tax reporting, and provide support to multiple business units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Accounts Payable operations, including invoice processing, manual check applications, aging reports, and account reconciliations.
  • Record routine journal entries and bank transactions.
  • Enter AP bills and credit card transactions as needed.
  • Assist with month-end closing and account reconciliations.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial data.
  • Perform bank reconciliations.
  • Provide support to accounting team members as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 1–2 years of experience in accrual-based accounting, including AR, journal entries, month-end close, and bank reconciliations.
  • Dependable with a track record of regular and reliable attendance.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; able to interact across all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple tasks and projects.
  • High attention to detail with excellent proofreading and editing skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment; organized and able to prioritize independently.
  • Highly self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented.

Working Conditions:

This role operates in a professional office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be largely sedentary and will be required to sit/stand for long periods while using a computer and telephone headset.
