Solar Systems Engineer

The Solar Systems Engineer will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our Sales and Install Operations organizations by ensuring solar system designs meet customer needs, company standards, as well as local, state, and national codes.

This position entails utilizing aerial imagery and web-based software to create 3D models of homes and their surroundings, which are used to generate custom proposals that showcase customers' expected solar panel layout and production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with sales and install operations teams to ensure solar design requirements are met
  • Create 3D models of homes and surroundings using aerial imagery and web-based software
  • Generate custom proposals illustrating expected solar panel layout and production

The ideal candidate will possess experience designing and/or constructing solar electric systems, as well as proficiency in solar production modeling software such as Aurora. A working knowledge of residential electrical and roofing standards, National Electrical Code, and local building codes is also preferred.

NABCEP certification and experience with Salesforce CRM and AutoCad software are valuable assets.
