Our company is seeking a skilled Catalog Product Manager to oversee the entire process of managing product categories in our retail environment. This role will require negotiation, costing, and collaboration with various departments to achieve strong volume, quality, and market competitiveness.

This position involves developing product categories that meet high volume and excellent quality standards. The successful candidate will become an expert in assigned categories, with thorough knowledge of local and international markets. Additionally, they will be responsible for developing private labels and ensuring the lowest cost and best terms and conditions for the company.

To excel in this role, you will need to apply economic principles to stay ahead of the competition, negotiate purchasing conditions, and have authority to buy products in exceptional cases. You will also be responsible for suggesting items to add or drop from assigned categories.

The ideal candidate should have retail experience in food and beverages, with a background in imports and product development. Experience in canned goods and cooking ingredients is advantageous. You must be able to work independently and manage product and negotiation end-to-end, while maintaining a strong knowledge of local and international markets.
