We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Category Manager to oversee our Food Category portfolio. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing strategies to grow sales, improve product assortment, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure optimal inventory levels. This role requires strong analytical skills, market knowledge, and the ability to build lasting partnerships with vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement category strategies to achieve sales, margin, and market share targets.
  • Manage product assortment, pricing, promotions, and merchandising plans for the Food Category.
  • Identify market trends, consumer preferences, and competitive activities to guide category decisions.
  • Negotiate with local and international suppliers to secure the best terms and pricing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, supply chain, operations) to execute category plans.
  • Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and ensure timely replenishment.
  • Analyze sales performance, margins, and inventory reports to optimize category profitability.
  • Manage product lifecycle, including new product introductions and delistings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience as a Category Manager, Buyer, or Merchandiser in the food/FMCG industry .
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and category management tools (e.g., SAP, JDA, Excel).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
