Job Overview

This role is responsible for managing and reporting on an organization's financial data. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). They will be responsible for preparing financial statements, examining and analyzing the company's accounts, and ensuring compliance with financial reporting requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Analyze data related to tax returns, financial reports and accounting records.
  • Check financial records to ensure that businesses are running efficiently.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, oversee tax filing and coordinate annual audits.
  • Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
  • Analyze trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.
  • Collect, track, and correct the company's finances.
  • Ensure all financial records and statements are in line with laws, regulations, and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Document business financial transactions over time.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 4 years' experience as a US Accountant or in a similar accounting role.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including GAAP.
  • Hands-on experience with relevant accounting software.
  • Experience with general ledger functions.
  • Additional certification such as CPA or CMA is desirable.
