Job Title: Senior Finance Specialist

This is a senior finance role that focuses on revenue recognition and financial reporting. As a Senior Finance Specialist, you will be responsible for recording and analyzing S&P Global Market Intelligence revenue.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare key balance sheet reconciliations for accounts receivable and deferred revenue and research and resolve reconciling items.
  • Assist with monthly P&L reporting and analysis. Prepare accruals and journal entries to accurately record revenue.
  • Ensure all revenue recognition rules are followed and consult when necessary.
  • Support overall business unit reporting requirements. Develop knowledge of the financial systems critical to the reporting process.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field. CPA/MBA strongly preferred but not required.
  • 3+ years' work experience in public accounting, private accounting, or finance department.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and revenue recognition guidance is required.
  • Strong data manipulation skills; experience with large datasets.
  • Strong MS Excel skills (Pivot tables, V-Lookups, IF functions, etc.) and PowerPoint.
